Question : I am a 54-year-old female. I have RRMS which causes fatigue, limb weakness (one side or the other) and some memory difficulties. The past 6 months I have lost weight, about 15 pounds, without changes in physical activity or diet. Since my weight is approaching my "normal" of 115 lbs, I have no issues with the decrease in weight. But, I have used chewing tobacco since 1989. The past month, I have been experiencing pain in my stomach. I don't mean generalized abdominal pain but the stomach itself. This is worse on an empty stomach and worse some days. Could I have stomach cancer?

                                    Brief Answer:
Further assessment by Gastroscopy required
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms
Pain in stomach area (upper abdomen ) which worsens on empty stomach , possibility of Acid peptic disease like Gastric Ulcer needs to be considered. Every such pain in an individual more than 40 years of age requires assessment by Gastroscopy to rule out Gastric ulcer and rare possibility of underlying malignancy.
I would suggest you to consult your Physician for further assessment by Gastroscopy.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Take care
