Suggest Remedy For Fever When Diagnosed With Pneumonia

Question: I was diagnose with pneumonia last Friday I have xray. they gave anti biotic and cough medication and sent home. I was told to take motrin for my fever. I still have fever as of now 104. I don't know if I have to go back to emergency or wait till tomorrow and see a primary care

Thanks for your query.
You have tried a good antibiotic levofloxacin since last 3 days but still fever is persisting . This must be of concern. 104°F is a high temperature. You may try antipyretic like paracetamol and cold sponging of whole body. If this reduces fever then fine or else must visit emergency department urgently.
They may order lung secretion based test for sensitivity based antibiotic prescription like sputum culture and sensitivity.
