Brief Answer:
Suggestions on constipation

Detailed Answer:
Suggestions:
1. Natural methods are the best to relieve constipation.
2. Constipation is a risk factor for UTI
3. Maximum milk consumption per day should not exceed 300-400ml
4. Minimum 3-4 cups of fruits and vegetables to be consumed per day
5. Toilet training - that is - sitting in XXXXXXX type of lavatory daily at the same time will help a lot.
6. For her age she should be drinking at least 2 liters of water per day.

All this will take some time - but one important thing which you need to remember is that medications form only 30% of the treatment of constipation the rest is life style changes and food and dietary changes. So I suggest that you give more importance to the life style and dietary changes that I have suggested.

Further till the toilet training is achieved I suggest you use Peglec (Available commercially as MuOut powder) at 2 tea spoons daily in fruit juice at night for 6 weeks. This will make the stool soft and remove the fear of painful defecation in the child's mind. This is a prescription drug and I suggest you consult your pediatrician for the prescription.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
