Brief Answer:
Androgenetic alopecia; oils won't help

Detailed Answer:
Hi. I have gone through the photographs.

I would keep a possibility of Androgenetic Alopecia.

Androgenetic alopecia(AGA) is the commonest cause of hair loss and alopecia in males.
Thinning and receding anterior hair line in males is also classical of Androgenetic Alopecia.
By the age of 30 almost 30% of males have androgenetic alopecia and by the age of 50 almost 50% of males have this kind of hair loss.

Scalp hairs are genetically programmed for progressive thinning under the influence of hormones, Testosterone and Dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Hair loss has a pattern to it in these kinds of hair loss e.g Teens usually have some Temporal recession (angles of anterior hair line) which is then followed by deepening of the angles (the first stage of Male Hair Loss; Norwood scale 1) leading further to early hair loss in the crown (vertex) and later to further frontal hair loss and enlargement of vertex and so on... By this time people usually become concerned about their receding hair line.

Although family history is positive in most but it is not a prerequisite for immediate family members (father and brother) to be affected with this type of hair loss.
Affected family members on the maternal or paternal side(cousins) also suggest that there is a hereditary component.

Hair oils won't help.

Treatment modalities include Topical Minoxodil 5% solution and oral finasteride. There are well controlled trials with these and US FDA approval for androgenetic alopecia in males.
Treatment must be continued religiously for at least 3-6 months to produce noticeable results and up to 2 years for maximum results. Thereafter the patients may be switched on to a maintenance program, which includes once daily or alternate day minoxidil application and once daily finasteride for the rest of life.

These are prescription products (Minoxidil and Finasteride) and I suggest that you seek an appointment with a dermatologist in your region for the needful.

Since you also have dandruff, I suggest you to use a ketoconazole based antidandruff shampoo, every alternate days e.g Nizoral shampoo; it is marketed by XXXXXXX & XXXXXXX worldwide and is available OTC.

Treatment of Male pattern hair loss is long term but gives good results if started at an early stage so that hair loss is not allowed to progress any further (any new hair that grows with this therapy is complementary). Therefore it is imperative that you begin therapy as soon as possible so that your hair fall can be arrested before its too late.

Hope this helps. I am here to help you with any further clarifications

regards

Dear User, It would be unethical on my part to prescribe you the brand names of the medicines on internet, because actually I have not had the opportunity to examine you. I can only provide you the generic names via this forum (Minoxidil and Finasteride).

My job here is to give you treatment options and give you pointers in the right directions, so that you are benefited from the information I provide.

A visual assessment is the best way to judge before we can prescribe medicines.

A dermatologist in your region would be able to examine you in person and would be in a better position to prescribe you the brand names.

Please go through the disclaimer at the bottom of the page.
