Question : Hi, my 10 year old granddaughter is having headaches for the past few days. They are on both sides of her head, just behind her ears and at times at base of neck. Motrin did work some. She is eating and drinking and sleeping ok. Headache worse with position changes. Not affected by sounds or light.

I have noted your granddaughter's symptoms and the most likely cause could be childhood migraine.

For relief of headache, you can use paracetamol tablets.

If she continues to have recurrent headaches, then, medicines such as cyproheptadine or propranolol tablets can be used to prevent headaches.
