Question : I have a mild stroke 2 months ago and have had a pressure headache ever since. I have a history of chronic tension tensions. Have had scans, echo cardiocardigram, checked my vessals in neck and Dr thinks I have tension headaches neurologist prescriped me a med for migraines , but I donot have migraines, what can I use for my tension headaches?

I have noted your symptoms and the fact that you have chronic tension headaches.

The best medications for treating tension headaches are Amitriptyline or dosulepin. In my patients, I usually start a dose of 25 mg once daily at night and depending on the response, the dose may be increased to 50-75 mg once daily at nights.
