Suggest Remedy For Headaches And Pain After Suffering A Head Injury

I was at a water park 8 days ago, I came down a slide and when I stood up i hit my head on the slide above me, the top of my head. I heard some cracking in my neck, I got right up, no immediate signs. Felt a little sore the next day, very mild headache. Well 8 days later, my neck still feels a little stiff, especially in the morning, a intermittent mild headache, at times I feel no headache, I have not taking any pain meds, as the discomfort has been that bad. Do I need to see a doctor or will this probably subside within another week?
Consult a neurologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Head injury from top of head may also be associated with neck injury. As you have no episode of severe headache, vomiting, seizure, loss of consciousness, the brain injury may be trivial or negative. But as you heard some sound and stiffness and pain in neck it would be better to get evaluated by a neurologist. After examination decision regarding xray neck and CT head may be reached.
Though there are low chances of abnormalities but it's safe to be evaluated.
You can also try some pain reliever with muscle relaxant.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.

Yes less chances of subdural hematoma
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
Yes chances are low for subdural hematoma.
I am concerned about any neck injury.
If appointment with neurologist is not delayed or difficult then prefer the specialist else general physician will also be good.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
