Question : XXXXXXX had his gallbladder removed 9-12. He over the last 2 weeks has had bad heartburn every night. He is eating tums 1-2 Q night. What do we need to do?
Brief Answer:
GERD/gastritis symptoms
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I read carefully your query and understood his concerns.
His symptoms seems to be related with stomach issues like
-GERD(gastroesophageal reflux disease)
-gastritis/ulcer
If I were his treating doctor, I would recommend to do upper endoscopy to confirm the right diagnosis.
Till that he can start to use pantoprazole, antacids.
He should avoid coffee, chocolate, tea, alcohol, smoking.
Eat 3 hour before going to bed, and try to use two pillows where he lay down.
wishing him fast recovery
