Question : I have infection in my right ear due to ingress of water in the ear while taking a dip in a holy river. This was ten days back. Since then i am on antibiotic and other medicines. My hearing has been severely affected. The left ear already had severe hearing loss since the age of 25. I am 55 male in XXXXXXX Is there possibility of some relief by way of micro surgery. Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query and report. It suggests that there is possibility of relief by microsurgery if there is chronic suppurative otitis media.

I personally advised to you that you may go for pure tune audiometry examination and in this examination if you have conductive or mixed hearing loss then definitely you relief after micro ear surgery.

Yes i have severe mixed hearing loss in ears at present. 53/ 80 in left ear and 43 / 75 in rt ear. It used be moderate loss 30/ 45 in right ear before this infection , ten days ago. Would you please suggest me a good surgeon who can perform this microsurgery . The doctors tell me that my left ear membrane or ear ddrum is retracted. No problems in the inner ear. With profound regrds and hoping for a positive and assuring reply.
