Question : My heart beat is high when I consume alcohol and my eyes become redish. At that juncture I am don't get sleep unless the heart beat come to normal. I become uneasy and take breath also nlbecome difficult. Please advise me.

Hello I am Dr Mody and I would be addressing your concern .
As I start I would like to know your pattern of alcohol congestion , how much and how many days a week .
Now the symptoms you have described are very commonly seen with consumption of alcohol.
Heart rate per say will increase with acute consumption of alcohol , so you will feel racing of your heart , also many arrythmia are also very common with acute alcohol intake as well as a there may be dilation of heart which may cause palpitations and breathlessness , some breathlessness may be due to reflux of gastric acid which is common with alcohol intake particularly even you don't take much food with it .
The redness of eyes is due to dilation a nd inflammation of the small vessels that travels through the surface of eye .
Some good sleep will help to reduce the the redness .
Also green tea and vinegar would help a bit .
It's very common you may not have sleep because of palpitations, also an arrythmia as the cause of palpitations is not a good sign for short term and long term effects of alcohol on your heart . You are young and AVOIDING alcohol is the only and best way to prevent symptoms.
