Question: Good morning

My workout is to climb the stairs of my home about 5 times each day . I run up 10 flight of stairs one shot without any rest . But after reaching my apartment & take a rest for 30 to 35 seconds i begin to feel a minimal heaviness in my left lower jaw bone for also a seconds then it disappear .
I did a lot of cardio tests through a routine check up of my company that i work in .
I did the following:
EKG : Normal
Stress test : they told me that i reached to 105% of my heart rate target & it was great .
Echocardigram : the doctor told me that my heart muscel is very strong & it shows 110% strenth .thanks God
But what can cause this heavy feeling ?
For your info I have a disk protrusion in my cervical spine C5 & C6 in my neck .

Thanks
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Your symptoms do not seem to be related to any cardiac disorders

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem not to be related to any cardiac disorder. All your cardiac tests are normal, so a cardiac cause of this pain can be excluded.

I would recommend you to consult with an neurologist for the jaw pain.

Misalignment of neck joints or a herniated disc in your neck could be causing your jaw pain.
Neck and jaw pain are so closely connected. The trigeminal nerve which supplies the sensations from the face including the jaw distends from the brain in the cervical spine.

So I think that it may be a connection between your disk protrusion and the jaw pain. Although you do not refer to have neck pain or arm numbness and this is rare.

There are different treatments for the disk protrusion including physical therapy and painkillers.

Surgery is an option for the advanced disk protrusion or herniations when the symptoms are persistent and not relieved by painkillers.

Hope to have been of help!

Feel free to ask any questions whenever you need!

Greetings! Dr. Iliri
