Brief Answer:
All these drugs decrease sexual desire.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I understand your concerns.

Increased sexual desire is unusual in schizophrenia.

She is taking sulpitac, arip MT, lozapin, trinicalm plus and now given senorm injection.
I did not understand the treatment regime.
She is being given 4 antipsychotic drugs and all in less than maximum effective doses. This is sort of drug cocktail. Minimal drugs with maximum effective dose should be tried first.

However, all these drugs are known to decrease sexual desire.

Arip Mt does not increase sexual desire.

The possible reasons for this in schizophrenia could be:
1. Auditory hallucinations commanding to do such acts.
2. Might have developed affective/manic symptoms (schizoaffective disorder).

I think a thorough assessment is needed for her symptoms.
If needed, a mood stabiliser drug should be added.

Kindly discuss this with your doctor.

Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask further.

Thanks

I regret that my querry has not been answered.Perhaps I could not explain myself properly. My wife has been under different medications under a calcutta based doctor for treatment of schizophrenia for last 30 years.Till Dec 2013 she was taking the following medicines.
Fluvator 100 1 Tab
Sulpitac 200 1Tab
Trinicalm Plus 2 Tab
Lozapin 25 1 tab

In dec 2013 the doctor changed the medicines as under:
Sulpitac 300 1 tab
Arip MT 15 1 tab
Trinicalm plus 2 tab
Lozapin 25 1 tab
He told that Arip mT is a good medicine and will have good results.
We started tabove medication in Feb 2014. She started showing good results and became active but became very talkative ,was imagening things, telling things which never occured,But still we continued with the medicines as we could not go to calcutta.Since last 3-4 months she has started behaving like a nymphomaniac .Having tired with this I consulted a Local psychetric on 23rd may 2015.She was of the opinion that Arip MT is agood medicine but sometimes the patient becomes active in undesired field and this may have happened in my case. She gave 2 injections- SERNORM and PHENARGEN on the same day and discontinued Arip MT and gave Parkin 2 mg . So at present the patient is taking Sulpitac 300,Lozapin 25 and Trinicalm Plus 2 tab and Parkin 2 mg 1 tab after breakfast and 1 tab after lunch. The increased sexual desire still continues and when she does not have it she starts crying.I seek your opinion on the present medications and what should I do so that she does not seek sex.I am now 67 and feeling extremely religiously minded and not knowing what to do.I may think of ending my life. For the last 30 years I have suffered a lot .Kindly advice any medicine to give her to reduce her desire. If you know of any good psychetist in XXXXXXX please inform.Thanking you and expecting a compassionate reply.

Brief Answer:
probably overlapping mood disorder.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
I am sorry that you were not satisfied with my earlier response.

First, I do not understand the reason why she was started Arip MT when she was stable on her earlier medicines.

In my opinion, there is no such side effect/effect of Arip MT that it causes activation in undesired field.

As I told you earlier, increased sexual desire (and history of increased talkativeness, imagining impossible things) is suggestive of a overlapping mood disorder.

I would suggest an gradual increment in dose of clozapine and continue with same other drugs. This drug will control mood symptoms as well. Other then this, as addition of mood stabiliser drug like lithium or valproate must be considered.
This will definitely suppress her excessive sexual desire.
There is no specific drug to reduce sexual desire.

The best place to consult in XXXXXXX is NIMHANS. You can take your wife there and discuss about my suggestions and take their opinion as well.

Hope I have satisfactorily answered your queries.

I wish for speedy recovery for your wife.

Sorry for the late response.

Feel free to ask further.
Take care.
Thanks.
