Question: Ive been having an on again off again headache for the last two weeks. I feel it at the top of my head, my hairline, and temples. Im starting to feel concerned since i am not one to have a headache, usually. It is not debilitating and i am still able to go about my day but its distracting enough to make me feel distracted at work. I have seen a doctor who said she wasnt worried as i am 15 weeks pregnant but wasnt able to give me a clear answer as to why i am having them. When is a headache a concern?

Brief Answer:
Migraine

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. The nature of the headache you have described, makes a diagnosis of migraine more likely. Migraine is common in pregnancy.
It is disturbing your daily life, so it is a matter of concern.
However, headache is serious and needs urgent treatment, if it is associated with blurring of vision, loss of consciousness, increased blood pressure or weakness in any part of the body.
Since you are pregnant, many medications given in migraine are not safe for you.
I will suggest you to take acetaminophen at the onset of headache to get the relief. This is safe during pregnancy.
Moreover, I will suggest you to consult a neurologist to get properly examined and treated appropriately.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
