Question : hello doctor, my baby boy is 7 and half month old. he has started teething 2 days back, and because of it gets so irritated, fussy, cant sleep well... all this may be because of pain. he dont have any other health issue like fever or loose motions. what can I do to make him comfortable and suggest me some medicine which will ease his pain.

Teething in this age can cause irritability and excessive cry.Giving paracetamol as an analgesic and gentle massage of gum helps.
First clean your hand and then massage the gum gently with finger and apply anesthetic gel like clenora (containing lignocaine).
This will help in relieving pain.
Rule out other causes of irritability.Whether he is passing stool and urine normally.

If the irritability persists consult your pediatrician for clinical examination and to rule out other possible causes.
