
Suggest Remedy For Irritation In Throat When On Clindamycin Antibiotics

Question : I have been taking clyndamicin antibiotic for the past week for an infected toe.... Ever since I have been on it I have a feeling in my throat just below my XXXXXXX Apple that feels like I have something stuck there .... I am a little worried and I wondering if this is due to my medication

One of the known side effects of Clindamycin is Esophagitis which is inflammation of the food pipe. This inflammmation can cause either pain or irritation or foreign body sensation in the throat.
But don't worry , this effect is self limited and will go off once the clindamycin is discontinued . I advise you to finish your course ( no need to stop ) also do salt water gargling 3-4 times a day.
