Hi
Thank you for asking Health care magic forum.
I have gone through your query.Itching is usually more initially. If it is unbearable antihistamines like levocetirizine will help you.But if any other discomfort or pain is there then it should be checked. We usually make holes and check on skin.
Hope this may help you.Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks

I have few questions regarding this,
1. I have swelling now, how to reduce that swelling
2. Is it mandatory that, we should wear plastic cast
3. Is there any better or similar type of treatment, which will not have itching.
4. How many days it will take to recover properly.

                                    Brief Answer:
Swelling can be reduced by elevation.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for your follow up.
The swelling is usually there for 5 to 7 days. You can reduce that by keep affected leg elevated.Strict immobilization is necessary to attain a fracture consolidation. You can also use ready made cast materials or braces which will be available in orthopedic shops. But fractures at some angles this wont suit. You can also use fibre glass cast but that also causes itching in some.
It will take 4 to 6 weeks to get a consolidation of fracture. Then you should go for a control X ray and change into elastic bandage.
Hope this may help you.Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
