Question : hi i have a rash in my groin area that can be itchy what do i need to do and what medication can i get over the counter

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

YOu have this new rash in your inguinal and leg area with itching., The picture you provided demonstrates very clearly that you have a fungal infection or what is commonly called jock itch. This is treated with a topical anti-fungal like lamisil or tinactin. You can use either the powder or cream though I prefer my patients to use the powder as it helps keep the area dry and allow for better healing
