Suggest Remedy For Lack Of Appetite And Presence Of Worm In Stool

Question: My mother, 60 yrs, don't have appetite for months now.Consulted gastrenterologist, tested meny but no such findings. Recently 10 days ago, she noticed a long (almost 6 inch long) worm-like(dead) something to come out with stool. Another same thing and of almost same length came out today with stool.
What medications needed for these worms and whether it may be a reason for loss of appetite?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and noted your concerns.
From the description offered by you,it appears that your mother is suffering from round worm infestation. These round worms can cause various symptoms. While it can cause hunger in some patients it can cause loss of appetite in others.
The treatment for this is very simple and consists of giving a single tablet of ALBENDAZOLE ( 400 ) mg for one day only.It is better to be given 2 hours after meals.
It should be repeated again after a gap of 2 weeks.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
