Question : I have a rather large callous on my tail bone that has been there for months and it won't go away no matter what I try..... ointments, masks to remove dead tissue, callous remover normally used for feet and hands, etc. do you have any suggestions? it was not proceeded by a wound or infection, has never been red, just slightly pale, hard, and sometimes a little flakey.

Brief Answer:
Topical keratolytic and oral Vitamin A supplement

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have taken note of your query and I have understood it.

I would suggest you to continue with the measures that you have been using already.
In addition I would suggest an Oral Vitamin A supplement to the tune of 25000 - 50000 IU per day for 1-2 months.
Avoid lying down straight on hard surfaces and prolonged sitting on hard surfaces.
You may use a pumice stone/ scrubber to help exfoliate dead skin.
Regular sitz bath would make the hard skin of callous soft and allow better penetration of topical keratolytics (salicylic acid+lactic acid lotion), once daily

Regards
