Brief Answer:
Take medications and food as advised and get investigations if not releived

Detailed Answer:
Hello Pdevore,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Cramping in lower limbs may be due to many causes like fatigue, vitamin deficiency, decreased vascular supply or lumbar canal stenosis.
You can start taking increased fluids and salt. You can also take some multivitamin and calcium supplementations.
If not received you can get some investigations like blood sugar, vitamin D3, thyroid profile, serum calcium, phosphate, potassium, Iron profile.
Additional testing should be planned if reports are normal and symptoms persists.
For this you should first consult a neurologist for detailed clinical examination and then investigations like nerve conduction studies and EMG or spine imaging.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Do get back with further queries.

A doctor has found degenerative disks in my back. There is a vertebra laying on a couple of nerves. Would the vitamin supplements you suggested help relieve this too?

Brief Answer:
Take medications and physiotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Lumbosacral radiculopathy or lumbar canal stenosis needs physiotherapy, pain modulator medication like pregabalin, gabapentin or amitryptiline.
Only vitamins may not be sufficient.
In severe case surgery may be required.
You should get examined by a neurologist for any neurodeficit like motor weakness, sensory loss or reflex loss and advice accordingly.
