Question : my father,aged 76, has been a patient of itrritable bowel syndrome past few years. but 15 days ago, he ate a oily home made pickle. he is getting loose motion past 15 days(since then). The only food he has been having is curd rice. but now he is fed up of eating curd rice alone and has starting vomiting. he is mentioning that only curd rice is not giving him much energy. He went to a doctor nearby annd gave some injection. but that seemed to works only for that day and again next day, he has loose motions. can you plz help

Hello,
I have gone through the description you have provided.

15 days is a long time for diarrhoea to last.
I would suggest to start metronidazole thrice daily for his diarrhoea. Along with lactobacillus capsules and ondensetron for the vomiting.
You will need to get a prescription from your doctor and aloso get a physical examination.
Get a stool microscopy test and stool test for C difficile toxin.

Has he ever had a colonoscopy?
If not and the symptoms do not subside with metronidazole he might need a colonoscopy.
