Question : Hello Doctor,

I had asked this question previously as well in regard of my wife. She is suspecting less milk supply. is it safe to take lactare tablet?

Can take lactare tablets safely

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
She can safely take lactare tablets.
However, apart from medications, she should follow following measures to increase the milk secretion:
1. Drink at least3-4 litres of fluids in a day.
2. High protein diet including milk and milk products, pulses, nuts, sprouts.
3. Can take a table spoon of jeera ( cumin) powder2 times a day. This is a safe method to increase the breast milk supply.
