Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to wrong posture

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

Persistent pain or spasm in the back muscle could be due to following factors

1. Prolonged muscle spasm

2. Sleeping in wrong posture

3. Underling spine problem like Prolapsed intervertebral disc

Exact diagnosis will however depend on good clinical examination. I would suggest you to consult your Primary care physician for clinical evaluation.

In the meantime i would suggest you the following

1. Bed Rest

2. Hot water fomentation either by using hot water bag or cloth soaked in hot water 3-4 times a day

3. Analgesics like Ibuprofen along with skeletal muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxazone will be helpful

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you

Take Care
