Question : I have a mole on my face 2 1/2 weeks ago it started hurting after 2 or 3 days it popped like a pimple full of puss and blood and I have been popping it everyday for 2 weeks still lots of pus and blood what do u think

Hi,

Welcome to HCM....

You seem to have Spitz nevus..a brown or skin colored elevated dom shaped nevus. ..or mole . It is an epithelioid cell and spindle cell nevus. It is a benign condition.

In your case the mole is secondarily infected. You consult dermatologist for the firm diagnosis.

He might give antibiotic course and anti inflammatory drugs till infection is cleared. After clearance of infection, he might do complete excision with biopsy under local anaesthesia. Histopathological examination may be done to rule out malignant changes.

Regular follow up may be done.
