Suggest Remedy For Mouth Ulcers While Having Severe Fever Of 100.7

Question : About a week ago these round ulcers started coming up in my mouth. There is a very large one on my gum line next to my teeth shown in the picture. I also had a fever of 100.7 for about 4 days. Fever is gone but the ulcers or whatever they are dont seem to be improving. Its impairing my ability to eat and drink. Is this a condition to be concerned about?

I have read your query and gone through the image you have attached . As far as I have observed you have Viral stomatitis . Mouth ulcers in viral stomatitis can be caused by certain medications, vitamin B12 deficinecy or folate , Hormonal changes or temporarily reduced immune system. Nevertheless, I will not be concerned as the ulcers heal a week or two after the infection is gone.

In the interim, I shall suggest you few measures that might help you and heal ulcers .
- Avoid stress . Take proper sleep .
- Avoid hot and spicy food .
- You can apply Ointment like Acyclovir on ulcers . If needed, you can Take oral tlet Acivir along with Vitamin B supplements by consulting with local doctor .
- For pain you can take Analgesic (painkiller) like Tylenol by consulting with local doctor .
Follow these measures you will get relief and if ulcers lasts for more than week then I will suggest you consult Oral surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation .
