Brief Answer:
MRI scan of the back

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Yes, your doctor is right in saying that such symptoms can be seen due to pinched nerve in the back.

You may have to get a MRI scan of the back to rule out the same. Get this done at the earliest, if in initial stages it can be cured completely without any complications. The more you wait the more worse it gets.

There are chances of it being MS too, you may have to discuss with your treating doctor to investigate you in that regard.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

My Doctor
Has ordered an x-ray for my back. Is it correct to assume the x-ray will not show nerve damage or issues that might be related to MS? I would also like him to run a test on my liver and pancreas.

Brief Answer:
X ray cannot show nerve damage or MS

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back.

Sorry for the delay in my response,

No, X ray does not show the nerve damage or signs of MS. It only shows if any bony defect that might be causing the nerve damage.

You may have to get the MRI scan to rule out the above.
