Suggest Remedy For Nausea After Suffering A Head Injury

Thank you
Concern of small bleed in brain only if you taking blood thinner medication
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in.
I have read through your query in detail.
Regularly I come across patients with mild head injury like the on you have. While the injury mentioned by you seems to be a trivial one, the symptoms experienced by you might vary.
Right now you can try applying ice packs and taking oral pain relievers to feel comfortable if you still feel uncomfortable at the site of head injury.
You might have had a concussion, mildest form of brain injury. Concussions usually do not manifest into anything serious, however subtle symptoms like brain fog may persist for days to weeks. This happens due to minor injury to nerves and is not visible on imaging. Rarely there can be emotional changes and irritability seen even after concussions.
Head injuries need to be observed for the first 24 hours. The following are alarming symptoms (within first 24 hours) of a head injury that needs a doctors attention.
1. Vomiting
2. Seizures
3. Persisting neurological deficits (numbness is a neurological deficit)
4. Difficulty in maintaining gait
5. Vision problems
6. Increasing severity of headache
If any of the above symptoms have occurred and are present even after 24 hours then you need to see a doctor and get a CT scan brain done. If the patient is experiencing dizziness and nausea which is not subsiding even after 3 days, they may visit the ER. Since you do not have any symptoms listed above, the chances of a bleed in the brain are least if you do not have any symptoms.
Patients on blood thinners or anti platelet medications have a small risk of slow bleeds in the brain even after a small fall. I guess you are not on any blood thinners or medications which can cause bleeding after a trivial fall.
Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Please start with light exercises and stop if feeling dizzziness
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
The brain fog might stay for about two weeks and rarely for about a month. I would suggest you to start with light exercises and have your husband or a close friend or relative to help you out should you require any assistance. Avoid exercises involving heavy weights or swimming or high speed cycling for a while. The aerobics exercises can be safely done by you.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
