Brief Answer:
Most probably you are having muscular pain.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You are likely to be having pain in your neck. Possible causes of this are
1. Muscular pain may be there. You can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief.
2.You are likely to be having acute disc prolapse as pain is more severe. It can be confirmed by MRI of cervical spine. Treatment of this is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen. But if pain is not relieved by ibuprofen then you likely to strong analgesic such as tramadol can be taken after consulting your doctor.
3. You may be having degenerative spine as you have such changes in lumbar spine and it is common in your age.Glucosamine is helpful. Analgesic such as ibuprofen given for pain relief.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
You can continue to neurofen ( ibuprofen) for pain less sleep(PLS)..

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Your MRI shows degenerative changes at L4 and L5 region. You can continue to neurofen ( ibuprofen) for pain less sleep(PLS). Glucosamine is helpful in degenerative changes as it slow down and to some extent repair them.Back excercises will be of help. As you always wake up at 5am so you are likely to be having some sleep disturbance so you can take mild sedative like alprazolam after consulting your doctor as it is a prescription medicine.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Everything else already discussed.

Brief Answer:
He may be having injury of his knee joint.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
I think your grandson's injury may be related to injury during playing soccer. He may be having hematoma ( blood collection) in his knee.Due to this pain he may be having severe pain. Icing, rest, elevation and analgesic such as ibuprofen will be helpful.
If this swelling doesn't have relation to injury then he need to visit orthopaedician for x rays and other investigation and treatment.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.
