Question : I need a specialist dr. My boyfriend is diabetic he is disappointed to his dr. This morning he went to a neurophaty dr he said that he had a nerve damage.

Thanks for the query

Neuropathy is a known side effect of diabetes. It happens due to poor sugar control especially in the first few years of diabetes.
Here is how he should go about it

1. Tight sugar control and compliance to treatment
2. Always wear only diabetic approved shoes known as mcr shoes. Avoid wearing slippers with toe showing out
3. Check the soles and toes using a magnifying glass for cracks everyday
4. tab pregabalin is a wonderful drug if he is in pain
5. never walk bare foot
