Brief Answer:
MoSt likely a nerve compression

Detailed Answer:
As you have slipped on ice, you may have developed a spinal/disc problem that is causing the sensory symptoms of the foot. It needs an MRI of the LS spine and NCV both lower limbs for diagnosis. I will suggest you meet a neurologist and consider the tests. Further treatment will rely on the reports. Thank you. Dr Saumya
