Brief Answer:
see your doctor immediately

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
You need to see your doctor for an other urine test and physical exam. It is not usually to have bruising over the kidneys from a kidney infection but if you had 10 days of trimethoprim and are still having kidney issues then your probably need a different antibiotic. You need to have your urine rechecked and if you are running a fever then you probably need to go to Emergency for evaluation. Pyelonephritis, a kidney infection, is very serious and may require hospitalization and IV antibiotics. If you do not go to Emergency see a doctor as soon as possible.
