Thank you for such a prompt response. It is more like a cramp but it occurs only in the same place and not every day. It is not always food related but I do sometimes notice it after I eat. I am 5'4" and weigh about 130 lbs. I have it almost every day with varying degrees. Some diarrhea but not every day. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
There doesn't seem to be any dangerous thing

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back,

I have read your response and first post closely,

I want to assure you that it doesn't seem to be anything dangerous but few causes should be ruled out.

Right hypochondrium two type of pains can be of concern,

1) Gall bladder pain:

This pain is usually medium in intensity thropping aching and usually heppen after taking fatty food.

For this ultrasound abdomen after 2 days of fat free diet or fasting (if possible) help in diagnosis.

2) Fatty liver or other liver issues:

This happen in abese people or alcoholics or any other individuals who have some liver issues ,

Do you have obesity? what is your heigh and weight?

3) stomach,

Usually it pains on left side or mid abdomen in stomach issues but right sided pains have been reported due to stomach issues, this can be treated by simple antacid or ppi use.

4) Muscle pains:

Muscle pain of abdomen can be there it is cured by rest and taking pain killer , this is cramping and changes with change of position.

1st two reasons are of concern but in your reason this doesn't seem to be a dangerous thing, but I mentioned them so that you can discuss them with your doctor.

I would suggest you to avoid fatty food fizzy drinks...coffee ,,,energy drinks and junk food for some time and seeif it works,,plus set up an appointment with your GP just to get things ruled out.

If your G.P can get an ultrasound abdomen done, that would be great,

I won't suggest you to take any meds as yet.

I wish you the very best of health.

Best regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad
