Question: Hi

I have a toothache been dentist who say its a gum infection they give anti biotics. I have have had ibuprofen and paracetamol for pain but its not going away now is it ok for me to apply orajel so i can sleep?

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as pain is concerned due to gum infection you have to take Antibiotic along with analgesic. You can apply Ointment Oral gel on gums. It contains Anaesthetic agent lignocaine which reduces pain. Do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day . If it doesn't make you better, you will need a better prescription pain medications.
