Suggest Remedy For Pain In Shins After Total Knee Replacement

My question, is this sense of chronic shin splints common after bilateral TKR? I am relatively active, walk alot, hit the gym up to five days a week, doing machines and circuit trainig. My concern is that I may be causing more harm than good.
I am about 15-20 lbs over weight and continue to work on that.
Other dx: Fibromyalgia 2009
Epstein Barre diagnosed XXXXXXX 2015
Osteo Arthiritis
I eat well ... very little if any, processed foods. Live in AZ as I cannot tolerate the cold from Ohio.
An have a generally very pleasant disposition.
Currently taking: Vyvannse, Diovan HCT, Lexapro, Trazadone, Doxisosin ... use Naproxene only when needed. Typically use Arnica, both oral and topical for minimal pain relief.
Is this condition simply something I have to learn to live with ...or is there something I can do to
reduce the pain so I can return to the gym and get strong>

I am 55 yrs old, Had a complete hysterectomy in 2006; Estrogen intolerant.

You may be having vitamin B 12 and vitamin D deficiency
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and It is very good that you are physically active and enjoying your life. Pain in shin is not a common thing with knee replacement. It can be due to either vitamin B 12 or vitamin D deficiency. It is also due to overuse.
So I would suggest you following things.
1.Take calcium and Vitamin b 12 daily.
2.Take 60000 unit vitamin D 3 every week for six weeks.
3.Walking is god but do not use treadmills or excessive lower limb exercises.
4.Volitran ointment can be applied.
I hope these steps will be helpful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
