Question : Earlier this evening I had a sharp pain in my left eye, followed by a bloodshot eye. This is the second time this has occurred. My eye is sore, but I can see. I have Diabetes II.

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having symptoms of redness of eyes with soreness and pain.
These symptoms indicate infection of the eye in the form of conjunctivitis.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops and anti-inflammatory drugs.

If possible do send a photo of the affected eye so that I can advice you more accurately.
