for approximately a month. no swelling or redness. top of thigh not groin area. the only other injury my son slammed his foot on mine accidentally and it was worse pain ever felt that was about same time this began that area is still red bruised sore to touch. this pain will sometimes travel down around my knee and shin.
Brief Answer:
Clinical evaluation and examination, investigations
Detailed Answer:
Sincere thanks for your feedback which is self explanatory.
I would advise you to consult an Orthopedic Surgeon or a General Surgeon to have clinical evaluation, actual examination and investigations to get the correct diagnosis so that a proper treatment is possible.
Since it is already a month, try to get these things done ASAP to avoid further sequel and complications.
The presence of tender, bruised and red area suggests an active inflammatory process going on causing all the symptoms you have.
You may need Ultrasonography and MRI of the area to see what is exactly is going on inside.
