Brief Answer:
Can be due to stress.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the ball of the foot can be due to stress and strain in the area due to hard soles or excessive running.
Give your feet a rest. Cut back on activities that make your foot hurt. Try not to walk or run on hard surfaces.
To reduce pain and swelling, try putting ice on your heel. Or take an over-the-counter pain reliever like ibuprofen (such as Motrin), naproxen, or aspirin.
Wear sandles with a wide and deep toe box. This can often solve the problem and prevent you from needing more treatment.
Wear felt or foam pads on your foot to protect the painful area.
Wear sandles with Correct Toes spacers. Spacers to separate the first and second toes.
I hope this answers your query.

This has been paining for a week now.
I just walk 30 min to office and back and daily. plus I run 15 min on thread mill daily before workout. Then normal walking inside the office , ie for breaks, or for meeting or to other cubicle. No other walking or running involved.

what do you advice to change from these activities ? Cuz, what i am doing is bare min.
Regarding shoe sole, i was using soft sole only. May be a flatter one.Now , i will change to deeper toe box.

I was involving dancing before my accident. for the past one month, i am not doing it . That was the only activity change in recent days.

Thanks,

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Avoid running.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You can avoid running on a treadmill. Do a hot compress twice a day and apply a local analgesic gel. You can also add calcium supplements to your diet. In case the pain persists, do get serum uric acid levels evaluated to rule out arthritis.
Hope my answer is helpful.
