Question : I pain in my right thigh. About 4 inches above my knee. Seems every few months it comes back for a few days Its sharp & last a few seconds. Its worse at night.
Hi,
Thigh pain may be caused by a minor muscle strain or contusion(physical activity),strained /pulled thigh muscles, tendinitis (inflammation of tendons due to overuse or injury),sciatica (compression, injury/ inflammation of the sciatic nerve),diabetic neuropathy.Since it recurs, get your blood sugar checked & x-ray thigh.

Its on the front part of ny leg. Not the back. My blood sugar was fine at my last checkup .
Brief Answer:
Painful thigh
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It seems that your pain in right thigh front is due to some local cause. In absence of physical examination,an ultra-sonography of the soft tissue of thigh in the affected area will throw more light on the underlying cause,if x-ray thigh turns normal and excludes any bony cause.
