Brief Answer:
May be due to inadequate dose

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

This may be due to inadequate dose / duration of the antibiotics taken, or failure to drain any pus collection during the initial episode.

I would like to know what all medications you have taken?

Anyhow, this need not be worried much. Now, let us start the treatment early and complete the course in full. In such cases, I usually give antibiotics like amoxicillin+cloxacillin / amoxicillin+clavulonate / azithromycin for 5-7 days, along with anti inflammatory agents like NSAIDs. We will have to drain pus collection if any. Pus culture will tell us the exact antibiotic to which the microbe is sensitive.
If this recurs further, we may need a blood culture and parenteral antibiotics. Your doctor will guide you through these steps.

Meanwhile, keep the area always clean and dry, and avoid excessive sweating.

Hope this will answer your query.
Wishing a faster cure.
Thank you.
