Question : Hi. I have had stomach pains and diarreha for 2-3wks. I wake up with bad stomach pains and go to the toilet 3-4 times a day with lose stools. The pain is upper and lower stomach pain and a little on the side. Not sure what to do. I have been told years ago i may have i.b.s but this is a little painful. It comes in waves then goes away and comes back. Any hlep would be great. Ive just got this pill called gasstopand hydralyte drink and probiotic pill. Hoping that will help

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read carefully all your concerns and I understood your query.

You are experiencing diarrhea and stomach pain for 2-3 weeks.
To my opinion you need to do further exams like :
- fecal culture test
-fecal exam for candida,ova and parasites
-blood work
-occult fecal blood test
-abdominal ultrasound

Your symptoms may be related to :
- bowel infection/ acute gastroenteritis
- IBS

It is important to know if you have used recently antibiotics?

You have gallbladder removed , may I know where?
Meantime I suggest to :
- use plenty of water
- use probiotics
- use hydramine and tasectan
- avoid fatty and spicy foods
- avoid sweety foods
-continue using gastop pil ( bismuth plus simeticone )
-use prilosec and spasmex to relief stomach pain.

If I were your treating doctor I would recommend to start metronidasole and ciprofloxacine.
