Suggest Remedy For Persistent Pain In Thighs, Hip, Neck And Knee

Question: For a good three years now i have had a pain that runs along the right side of my right thigh starting about mid hip down the side of my thigh and sometimes around the top of my knee. The pain increases while laying down on either side. It will also hurt if i'm sitting in certain positions or crossing my legs either over the knee or across the knee as men will do.The pain is not along the back like sciatica. I have had an mri of my lower back and SI Joint area but not the right side of my hip area. I have been seeing a chiro for about six visits and i'm not sure that is going to be the way to go. Wondering what may be causing this pain and if a mri of the hip area would produce any answers and possible solution to the pain. I'm female, 50 in good health. I have not had an injury to the area.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible L1 radiculopathy.
So the MRI done should be for MRI LS SPINE with screen whole spine. I would like to read the report of your previous MRI .
You will need physiotherapy of the back to get relief.
With that a prescription for pregabalin and methylcobalamin will have positive effects.
For urgent relief , amitryptiline is needed.
Meet a local practitioner for the prescription.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
