Question : In the process of urinating my bowel also seems to release gas and/or feces. There is no real discomfit just aggravation for dealing with urinary and bowel function at the same time.

Hi and welcome.
There are few possible causes and in most cases this happens due to enlarged prostate which then can irritate bowel during defecation. Other include rectal polyps,hemorrhoids and fissure so you should see urologic and proctologist first and if these are ruled out,you should do manometry if anal sphincter. Sometimes muscles of pelvic floor are weakened and it require surgical repair. Wish you good health. Regards
