Brief Answer:
anti inflammatory pain killers and relaxant may help

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Excess gas can contribute to pain in some persons. It can be related to:
(1) constipation
(2)GERD- reflux is a common cause of gas and bloating
(3)use of gas producing foods such as broccoli, cabbage, turnips, beans, carbonated drinks, brussel sprouts, prunes, pears, peaches

If any of these are used in excess and can be reduced then this may help. The use of one of the reflux medications along with dietary changes would also help.
This includes prilosec, prevacid,nexium, protonix

(4)celiac
(5)lactose intolerance

If any of the pain is related to the excess air then treatment would help.

In terms of the pain- pain can be related to any structure in the underlying area or in some cases it can be referred pain.
Your doctor would have examined your chest and abdomen and eliminated surgical causes of pain.

This means that may be related to the muscles (and other soft tissues), bones plus any contribution by the bloating.
Musculoskeletal pain is most likely if the pain is constant and worsened with specific movements.

In addition to the stretching exercises which should be done at multiple times a day, the use of anti inflammatory pain killers may help.

This would include medications such as ibuprofen, naproxen, celebrex, arcoxia.
Celebrex and arcoxia would be used if the pain is very severe, these may require a prescription.
One of these may be combined with a muscle relaxant eg flexeril, valium, XXXXXXX

Summary: (1) gas can contribute to pain.
Treated with diet changes and medication

(2)pain may be musculoskeletal
Stretching, anti inflammatory pain killers and muscle relaxant may help

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
