Question : Mild, red, non-painful rash on both forearms, sudden onset while working out in gym on weight equipment. Almost looks like sunburn (with shadowed area where wristwatch had been); faded after four hours. No food connection or new meds.
Brief Answer:
It seems to be a contact dermatitis or due to some other allergic cause
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
It would have really helped if I could examine you clinically. It seems that there could be some allergic component behind the rashes. In such a case, taking cetirizine tablet once daily for a few days should provide relief. Apply calamine lotion and use Dove or Aloe vera soap (instead of regular soap). If that does not help, the only option would be to visit a dermatologist.
If it goes away altogether, I do not think that you need to worry further.
Hope that helps.
