Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

They might be canker sores, which start as painful red bumps inside of cheeks and then develop into open ulcers.
It also might be just irritation of oral mucosa due to injury( biting the cheek or due to hot foods) or specific foods (acidic foods, spicy foods).
The presence of small painful spots inside of mouth with no other symptoms ,doesn't indicate any serious problem that would require medical attention.

They usually may last up to 7-10 days and resolve on their own.
You can use salt water rinses or an antiseptic mouthwash to ease the discomfort.Avoid acidic ,spicy ,hot foods (oranges, lemons ,fruit juices etc).
You can apply an local anesthetic like benzocaine (Anbesol) until they heal.

If these spots doesn't seem to go away in 1 week, you may need to consult a dentist or your physician and get examined.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question.I would be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati

Hi ..they are on inside cheek near anus....can it still be canker?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Rovena (22 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
it can't be canker sore

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

I apologize for the confusion. No it can't be canker sore (they are localized in the oral mucosa).

Little sore spots on the inner part of your buttocks ,near anus , most likely are folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles ) or it might be just skin irritation due to moisture.
If these spots are like blisters or cluster of blisters, genital herpes can be another cause.

I would suggest to keep the area clean.Wash the area with warm water.
You can apply warm compresses to ease the discomfort. You can apply an topical antibacterial like Neosporin 2-3 times a day for some days.
If they doesn't seem to improve in 1 week or if the pain get worse you may need to consult your physician and get examined.

Once again I apologize for the confusion.
Feel free to ask if you need further help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena

Protected as so can't be herpes?

Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

If you have had protected intercourse and your partner doesn't had any obvious lesion, then it is less likely to be herpes.

Genital herpes usually causes blister like lesions or cluster of small blisters that itch a lot.If the blisters break ,the lesions look like small pailful ulcers.
If your spots seem like tiny bumps ,it is less likely to herpes.

If the symptoms improve after applying neosporin and warm compresses ,it is highly likely to be skin irritation or inflammation of hair follicles.

Brief Answer:
an antibacterial cream is preffered.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

If the cause is just skin irritation due to moisture and friction ,then sudocream will help but since it doesn't contain antibacterial properties ,it won't work same as Neosporin for folliculitis.

I would suggest to use an antibacterial cream like Neosporin or Bacitracin for some days.

Answered by Dr. Dr. Rovena (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Neomycin, Bacitracin,Polymycine .

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Neosporin is an over the counter antibiotic cream but if you can find it there ,try an other topical antibiotic over the counter that you can try : Neomycin, Bacitracin,Polymycine .
Germolene is an antiseptic cream that is used to prevent any bacterial infection but not to treat the infection it is has happened.

I live in the UK seems antibiotics have to be prescribed?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Rovena (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Bacitracin

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Yes, most of antibiotics need prescription. Some topical antibiotics like Bacitracin are over the counter medications and you can buy them without a prescription.

If you can't find any otc antibiotic cream ,you should keep the area clean, wash it thoroughly with warm water and see if the symptoms go away in some day.

Take care,
