It can be due to local or gastric causes

Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Normally impaired or bad taste sensation whether salty or pungent can be due to variety of conditions like local gum or oral hygiene, gastric causes, drug induced, aromatic foods consumptions or due to upper respiratory tract infections. Most common being local causes like gingivitis or due to gastric indigestion.

You can very well assess yourself based on jese causes that whether any peculiar cane in nutritional habbits in recent times or any recent drug usage was there or not. Also if there was no recent signs and symptoms of respiratory tract infections then your focus should be on giningvitis or gastric causes.

Using mouth washes more frequently alongwith, antacids like omeperazole may help. Using motility agents like domperidone can also help to empty stomach more quicker than normal to avoid back flow or gaseous burbles troubling you or causing bad taste in mouth repeatedly.

Avoid greasy, oily, fatty and spicy diets. Use of fizzy drinks should also be reduced and all gastric irritants should be avoided.
