Question : I have had a chest/sinus infection for a week now. Discolored discharges, green, XXXXXXX Using XXXXXXX Med saline rinse and getting discolored mucus without fail. Chest burning and sore. Early morning is exhausting coughing up discharge. No consistent fever. Pneumonia history with left lung thoractomy. Haven't gone to Dr. yet because don't anticipate getting an antiobiotic. Last year I made multiple trips to the Dr. and ended up with thrush from an inhaler.

You have bee experiencing nasal congestion with green XXXXXXX discharge and a persistent cough but no fever. This does sound like you have a viral illness. You are already doing everything you possibly can to get better. Sometimes t takes almost 2 weeks to resolve. If you do develop fever or shortness of breath I would recommend that you see you medical provider as you may have developed a secondary infection and could use an antibiotic.
