Brief Answer:
Possible Aerodigestive infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

I apologize for the delayed response owing to my work schedule.

I have gone through your query in detail.

As per the symptoms, your wife possibily seems to have acute pharyngitis coupled with an upper GIT infection.

She needs a baseline battery work up like complete blood counts and chest x ray.

As of now, she can started on antibiotics on empirical basis.

I generally prescribe oral pills of Cap Levofloxacin along with tab Pantop D for 5 days.

This should improve her health by all means.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
