Question : hello doctor, My 1 year old son is having loose motions. Plz suggest some over the counter medicine.

Welcome to HCM.
For loose motions in a 1 year old child, the most important thing is to prevent dehydration.
Since, the cgild is 1 year of age, i assume the weight of child to be around 9 kg.
If I was your treating doctor, then i would have given
- Electral ORS solution (about 100 ml each stool)
- Enterogermina ampule once a day for 3 days
- syrup zincolife 2.5 ml two times a day for 5 days
- syrup zenflox plus (ofloxacin+nitozoxanide) 3 ml three times a day for 3 days. (please consult your local doctor to get this medicine prescribed as it is available on prescription only).

Review after 2 days.
