Question : Hi, I had severe diarrhea with cramping and a 103 fever 10 days ago. I ended up in the ER getting 2 liters of replenishment for dehydration. A couple days later my stomach was much better and fever was gone. At that point I had moderate headaches for several days along with fatigue, dizziness and muscle weakness. The fatigue, headaches and dizziness have mostly resolved. Now. for the last 4 days I have struggled with mild head "fuzziness" and moderate muscle weakness in my limbs. Getting concerned because I usually bounce back quickly but the weakness is unusual for me. My arms and legs fatigue quickly and feel like they weigh 3X what they usually do. Help please!

Hi Dr.
My blood work came back normal. I seem to be making very slow improvements. Any idea when I may be back to my old self after this knocked me down? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Healthy diet with plenty of oral fluids.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Good to know your blood work is normal.
It takes little longer for each tissue and individual cell in the body to get all the replenishment, through blood.
So keep up the good work, by taking high protein diet with plenty of oral fluids.
Take multivitamin supplements.
If every thing goes well, you will almost be yourself by the end of this week.
